At Village East, we are looking for a Managing Veterinarian who looks forward to taking on challenging cases, mentoring new graduates, and collaborating with the veterinary team. The Managing Veterinarian, or Medical Director, is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. We’re looking for someone who enjoys the responsibility of creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered to keep our community smiling and the tails wagging!
Our ideal candidate has an energetic approach to growing professionally and an interest in specialized areas of veterinary care such as surgery, dentistry, ultrasound, etc. are a plus, but the freedom to pursue your niche in veterinary medicine is encouraged. Hospital Building
We are located on Green River Road, a known, busy street that serves as a main pipeline through Evansville with quick access to malls, shops, restaurants, parks, and just about any other business. Our hospital maintains its charming façade that reminds our long time clients of the many years we have been serving the community. Our facility offers a full range of services for wellness and sick/urgent care. We strive to keep our equipment cutting-edge and state-of-the-art. Some of the tools we work with are Laser Therapy, Digital X-ray, Digital Dental X-ray, Ultrasound, Advanced Anesthesia Delivery and Monitoring Systems, and Complete In-hospital Idexx Laboratory Set-up.
Our basic building outline consists of a Lobby/Reception area, five exam rooms, fully stocked pharmacy, dedicated Dental Suite, dedicated Surgery Suite (with two tables and new LED surgical lighting), Treatment area, separate Radiology room, full kennel & runs, and bathing area.

Above Market Salary - starting at $150k+
Sign-on Bonus eligibility - up to $50k!

Skills and Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
3+ years of experience as a veterinarian (DVM)
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Indiana
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Delegates tasks and achieves results with hospital team members.
Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
Leads employees by coaching, correcting, developing, and motivating them to achieve success.
Manages time and tasks appropriately.
Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
