We are interested in speaking with experienced ER DVMs, internship trained DVMs, and new grads or GP DVMs who have an interest in emergency medicine. ER Mentorship is available! While experience in emergency medicine is an incredible plus, we are most interested in a candidate’s work ethic and focus on our core philosophies (client service and patient care). Dependability and willingness to learn/accept feedback will always be more important to us than any specific experience. If you are looking to practice high quality, progressive medicine in a collaborative team environment that provides exceptional patient care and client service we want to hear from you!

Fort Wayne is the 2nd largest city in Indiana with a superior cost of living. Combined with great schools, Fort Wayne is a great place to raise a family. Enjoy big city amenities with a suburban feel. There are over 85 public parks and trails, children's zoo, a thriving arts community, museums and cultural events in addition to several sports teams. We enjoy excellent shops and restaurants and our only 2-3 hours from several larger metropolitan areas such as Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit and Cincinnati. There are several great international companies in our area. Most importantly, the community continues to support our hospital. This allows us to add additional specialties and expand our facility to meet the growing needs of our pet owners now and in the future.
About Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital
Compassion-First and NVA recognize that we share deep-rooted values and priorities. For years, our dedication to Specialty and Emergency medicine has been a common background.
Our groups have long shared the belief that the best patient care comes from championing hospitals in their local communities and supporting the practices and culture that have made them successful. We believe in empowering veterinarians and their teams with deeper resources so they can do more of what’s already working.
Combining our strengths gives us the opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the profession, our people, and the care of animals.
As one of the only dedicated Specialty and Emergency groups in the industry, NVA Compassion-First is the trusted partner of hospital teams who are looking for more—more resources to advance their medicine, a greater sense of belonging, and increased opportunities to care for their patients, clients and people.
