Arlington Veterinary Hospital is a small, veterinarian owned and operated, mixed animal practice located in Arlington, Washington. We are growing and need to add another doctor to our staff of 3 DVM's to help support our growing small town.
The position is for a full-time veterinarian with an active license in Washington State. We schedule each doctor 4 weekdays per week 8:30am to 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break and one Saturday a month 9am to 1pm. We provide mostly small animal medicine (85%) but offer ambulatory mixed animal medicine as our schedule allows. (no emergency services or hours offered). We believe in a good work-life balance for every staff member and our team supports each other in achieving this goal. Like many small businesses, we have become a family and have very little drama. The support staff to doctor ratio is 3:1 and we have licensed technicians for each doctor.
Our primary focus at AVH is to provide our community with outstanding veterinary care through client education, new and progressive medicine including PRP and stem cell therapy, and fair pricing. We bring in outside radiologists, cardiologists, and surgeons to provide care to our patients in-hospital, so they don't have to travel for these services. We try to provide our clientele with the best options for their beloved pets. We have a full suite of Idexx lab machines to provide rapid diagnostics, a Companion therapy laser, ultrasound, digital radiography, dental radiography, all of the standard equipment to provide excellent care.

We are able to offer a high level of care in hospital and bring in specialists for surgery, radiology, and cardiology. Our team is loyal and many have worked here for 5+ years. Many of our staff have developed their skills and grown in our practice to be able to offer better services. We work well together and have very little drama and a lot of fun. We focus on client education, wellness, and preventative medicine, but can respond to many major illnesses with appropriate technology and experience.
Our practice allows each doctor to build their skills in any specific area of interest. We support continued education and developing a niche if that of particular interest. Our community is looking for us to expand and bring in more skilled veterinarians. We are a small town community with family-based activities and feel.
