The Director of Business Development is the lead deal maker for their designated area and leads the process to identify, source, target, diligence, and close add-on acquisitions to CVP’s existing hospital platform. We are seeking 2 Directors for this position; 1 in Texas and another in the Indiana, Ohio, Illinois area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- · Manage the business development process from sourcing candidates to Letter of Intent to Closing. · Develop relationships with potential new veterinary partners through meetings, meals and other events. · Lead the evaluation of new acquisition opportunities and the proposal for all new acquisitions · Review and submit letters of intent and collateral material · Review diligence findings and drive new acquisitions to closing · Manage the trade show process in their areas and attend as needed · Engage with CVP’s executive team on CVP’s company and acquisition strategy · Enhance CVP’s brand in the veterinary sector through honest, creative negotiations · Report to CVP’s Board on the market and CVP’s strategy and tactics for success in the market. | Preferred Education & Experience- The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record in business development, M&A or related jobs in the veterinary healthcare business. Required experience includes: - 5+ years of experience in M&A, business development or related jobs in veterinary healthcare
- Knowledge of accounting and financial analysis
- Experience reviewing and negotiating M&A documentation and contracts
- Knowledge of M&A structures, and due diligence processes
- Investment banking or other finance experience is a plus
Undergraduate degree is required. Graduate degree is a plus Competencies- - A self-starter who needs little direction; is highly self-motivated, and accountable.

- Strong track record of implementing and executing tactics to achieve key strategic initiatives.
- Results oriented and achievement motivated. Ability to meet deadlines and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Organized and detail oriented.
Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word; MS PowerPoint Word Processing software and Salesforce experience. | Travel- 50%-75% travel is expected for this position.
