Bartram Trail Veterinary Hospital is growing and is looking for an upbeat, detail-oriented individual that is able to multi-task in a full-service companion animal veterinary clinic. Requirements: We are seeking a veterinary technician for FULL-TIME position. Competence in the English language, patience, and pleasant manner a must. LVT/CVT status a bonus, but practical experience a must. Pay will reflect the level of experience the candidate has. Veterinary technician must build positive, professional relationships with clients and staff members. Veterinary technician must have a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, and husbandry, including a basic knowledge of pharmacology and sufficient mathematical skills to ensure the administration of accurate drug and fluid doses. They must be able to successfully restrain animals, complete clinical laboratory tests, use multiple radiology techniques, administer and monitor animals under anesthesia, assist in surgery, and perform dental procedures. Veterinary technicians will need to explain preventative and maintenance care of patients to their owners and interact with owners to teach and explain treatments required and medicines/treatments to be performed. Technicians must also deliver compassionate nursing care. They should expect to spend nearly all of their workdays in the hospital. We are a progressive, general practice that has multi-parameter anesthetic patient monitors, IV pumps, digital general and dental x-ray, laser therapy, compressed air dental drill/scaler/polisher, ultrasound, tonometery, electrocautery, and Abaxis in-house CBC and chemistry machines. Compensation: FULL-TIME benefits after 90-day probationary period include pet care discounts, paid holidays, sick/personal time-off, medical insurance and uniforms.
